Talent Search at Margao

Talent Search for Table Tennis at Margao

Table Tennis is picking up once again as a popular sport around Goa.  Of late, the table tennis players from Goa especially the younger lot, have excelled at the game even at the National level.

Today, we can look forward to good times in the near future for table tennis in Goa.  If this is to be taken up as a challenge, we need to work on a war-footing to tap talent and train them.  This will augur well for the future and allow Goan players to meet national and international standards in the next two to three years.

There is considerable effort being put in by the players, especially the younger ones, to enliven their game encouraged by their parents, coaches and the Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA).  There is a lot of promise shown but that needs to be channelized into training and eventually results.  BPS Sports Club, Margao has decided to take up this challenge under the able stewardship of Goa’s former champion table tennis player Lenie DoRosario as a ‘Lenz Initiative’.

We propose to have a ‘Talent Search’ on January 29 from 9am onwards at BPS Sports Club.  We  are inviting schools from all over to send children born on or after January 1 2002 to participate in the event.  This will be done with the aim of spotting new talent and further nurturing them to perform at an optimum level within the next two to three year.

Entries for the 'Talent Search' can be sent to bpsgoa@gmail.com or by SMS only to 9822176086.

Kindly mention:

1. Name of the Child
2. Name of the School
3. Sex
4. Date and year of Birth
